The Elastic Lab founders, directors and advisors are rooted in digital content development and distribution with deep experience in cable television, filmmaking, art, advertising and communications.

Glenn Morey, CEO

Glenn’s 25-year marketing and advertising career has spanned a broad spectrum national consumer brands, ranging from AT&T Broadband, to Nextel, American Express, Philips Electronics, Herman Miller, Quizno’s and Pizza Hut. Currently, Glenn also serves as CMO of Vehix, a Comcast-owned company, and is immersed in programming and content development, licensing, aggregation and distribution for the television and media industry. Over the past 15 years, he has become a leader in digital and emerging media platforms, developing and marketing new ideas and offerings related to the evolution of TV—video on demand, broadband, iTV and iAds, addressability, and 3-screen integration. Glenn has won over 200 awards, including CLIOs, IBAs, and Addies for creative excellence, and his work is included in the Adweek Hall of Fame.

Julie Morey, CCO

In 30 years as a designer, art director and brand strategist, Julie’s work for brands like Vehix, AT&T, Quiznos, Nextel, Herman Miller, American Express, Nordica and Public Television has resulted in both dramatic results and creative recognition. With an already strong background in commercial production, a mid-career opportunity to lead the creative effort promoting a spirit of ethnic diversity for AT&T, MTV, HBO and TBS fueled Julie’s love of the medium. In 2007, she began developing Elastic Lab with a firm belief in the creative future of film and new media. Julie has earned more than 150 awards including the One Show, Communication Arts, Clios, and International Broadcasting Association (IBA).

Krista Nicholson, VP/Multi-Platform Strategies

Krista’s 20-year career spans roles on both the client and agency side. During this time she held various positions and managed multiple teams in the areas of traditional and interactive media planning, account services, business development, and strategic planning. Her broad background has positioned her as a key player on such national accounts as Dell, Dreyers, Qdoba, Aspen Skiing Company, Herman Miller, Western Union, and Vehix. During the past few years Krista has worked with agency leaders to strengthen digital capabilities and develop integrated marketing programs for clients that span online, video-on-demand, iTV, and broadcast platforms. Her balanced approach of creative problem solving with a positive bottom line impact continually delivers positive ROI for her clients.

Beverly Cain, CFO

During the last 25 years, Bev has helped to manage, strategize, research and account for a variety of different types of businesses, from a business machine manufacturer, a skin care manufacturer/distributor and a clothing retailer to a 10-year+ stint at Morey Evans Advertising. She has handled human relations and managed the financial responsibilities of the agency, as well as completed and presented research and created strategies for some of the agency’s largest clients.

Mark Schmidt, Creative Services Director

A graduate of the Portfolio Center in Atlanta and 14-year advertising veteran, Mark has created hundreds of TV spots, from strategy to concept to graphic design. His well-known work for food and beverage brands, ski resorts, and the automotive and real estate industries have garnered over 50 awards for creative excellence. He brings not only a strong background in film, photography and design, but a passion and desire to be part of the expanding digital media world.

Henrik Boes, Post Production Director

Henrik has been involved in video production and post production for 17 years. He has worked as a journalist and producer at German satellite television, received an M.A. on the influence of electronic media on contemporary religiosity from the University of Colorado at Boulder (being one of the first in his field to submit a thesis using web formats and technologies), and, most recently, worked as a video editor for projects from national brands, such as Mountain Dew, Vehix, and Qdoba Mexican Grill. He is also a Microsoft Certified Professional with more than 12 years of experience in planning, implementing and managing client/server, networking, desktop publishing and non-linear editing projects.

Marina Martin, Community Evangelist

An early adopter of many of today's most popular social media services, like Twitter and Jaiku, Marina spent six years as a corporate efficiency consultant in the automotive industry, helping dealerships and manufacturers better utilize new Internet technology and social media to improve their bottom lines. She is a prolific blogger on a variety of personal and professional topics from workflow optimization to finding a Guinness anywhere in the world.

Scott Daharb, Chief Filmmaker

Scott’s 15-year career spans commercials, features, documentaries, sports shows and events for clients like Pepsi, Qwest, AT&T, Bank of America, British Airways, Conoco/Philips, and nearly every auto manufacturer. His feature work includes The Shining, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Fast Food Nation, Run for Her Life, and Ichabod. Warren Miller Films, NFL Films, Mountain Dew sports, Gravity Games, X Games, NBC, ABC, CBS are a few of the companies for which he has shot events and documentaries. His role at Elastic Lab is to support our growing community of filmmakers with educational materials, tips and advice, and input on an assignment-by-assignment basis.
